WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Look at duration, rhythm and available stages together.

Where does the sleep data come from?

With your permission, Cernidia reads suitable records from Apple Health. An Apple Watch is one possible source: while worn at night, it estimates sleep times and stages and adds those records to Health. Cernidia provides an additional view on your iPhone.

An optional direct WHOOP connection provides another source. Its origin stays visible. A WHOOP sleep score and an assessment based on Apple Health are not presented as interchangeable measurements.

What can you explore?

Review available time asleep, sleep start and the recorded timeline. An assessment requires usable data. Recorded awake time only describes the readable portion of the night. Sleep efficiency needs suitable time-in-bed records; when these are missing, that value stays unavailable.

Your next planned sleep window comes from your saved schedule. It looks forward, while the previous-night report looks at existing records. Cernidia keeps the plan and the recording distinct.

From last night to today's choices

Read the report alongside how you feel. A quick energy check-in adds your own perspective. When enough suitable history is available, personal comparisons may add context. A single score cannot prove that you are recovered or explain why you feel tired.

You can use the day plan to give tasks, breaks and the next sleep window a place in your day. You choose whether to make a change. Cernidia does not claim a demonstrated improvement in sleep quality.

When a night is missing

First check whether the night appears in Apple Health and whether the relevant read permissions for Cernidia are selected. Records also need to have reached your iPhone. Missing data can have several causes; Cernidia cannot infer that a particular Health read permission was denied.

Without a usable recording, the assessment remains unknown. That is more useful than a precise-looking score built on gaps.

A few things to know.

Does Cernidia record sleep itself?

Cernidia reviews suitable existing Apple Health records or data from an optional direct WHOOP connection. Apple Watch sleep tracking needs to be configured on the watch.

Is an Apple Watch required?

Apple Watch is one possible source. Suitable records from other Apple Health sources may also be available, and WHOOP can connect directly. A personal sleep assessment requires suitable data.
