What can you connect?
The optional direct connection uses your existing WHOOP account. Cernidia keeps available Recovery, Sleep, Strain and Workout data labelled as its own source. A compatible WHOOP device and any required WHOOP membership are separate.
Cernidia is an independent app. The integration provides access to WHOOP records; it does not imply an official partnership or the full feature set of the WHOOP app.
Set up the connection
Choose WHOOP during onboarding or in Cernidia Settings. Sign in through the WHOOP authorization flow and choose the permissions you want to grant. Enter your WHOOP password only with WHOOP. No Cernidia account is needed.
After connecting, the display depends on the records your account actually provides. Pending or unscorable values remain unavailable. A successful connection does not guarantee that every record already exists.
The origin stays visible
WHOOP Recovery remains a WHOOP score. A direct connection does not create a personal Apple Health baseline. If you use both sources, read their values with their respective origins in mind.
Not every metric in the WHOOP app is supplied through this connection. In particular, Cernidia does not claim a WHOOP live stress stream. A missing signal is never replaced by an invented measurement.
What happens to the data?
Sign-in uses an online authorization service. WHOOP health records are fetched directly from WHOOP to your iPhone and stored locally. External services also process technical connection and authorization data; the privacy policy explains the details.
You can disconnect WHOOP in Settings using the action to disconnect and delete saved WHOOP data. Original records remain with WHOOP. If revocation cannot be confirmed, also remove Cernidia's access in WHOOP.

Do I need Apple Health for WHOOP?
The direct WHOOP connection is a separate optional source. It does not require or establish a personal Apple Health baseline.
Is WHOOP membership included?
No. Cernidia is free. A WHOOP device, account and any required membership belong to WHOOP's separate offering.
